The IELC
IOLC decided to have an archbishop who will be a manager of the church. Some churches has just one bishop who are the manager, other – president or general ordinary. In the IOLC it will be archbishop.
For to elect an archbishop, IOLC must have at least 5 bishops with at least 3 communities in each diocese. Until that time acting archbishop will manage the church.
John Lowson was elected as the acting archbishop and manager of the IOLC.
The IELC
We are started our mission in Indonesia. And now we have communities there managed by bishop Artem Smirnov!
The Right Reverend Artem Smirnov was a former Russian pastor in Bali, Indonesia, who was working in Pentecostal mission, but was interested in Lutheran doctrine and was looking for a way to join Lutheran church. His dream came true.
We opened for people who has calling to be a clergy, we happy to invite new members and build new communities. Join us today!
The IELC
Yesterday, August 20, 2019 was ordained new bishop for our ministry in the Philippines. His name is Vince Bacunawa Balabis.
The Right Rev. Fr. Vince was baptized and grown in protestant believe. Later on he became a pastor in non-confessional Christian denomination in Iloilo, Philippines.
In July 2019 he was found that teachings of Martin Luther and IOLC is much more logical and understandable that in his denomination, and turn to IOLC as a pastor together with his community. And later was elected as a bishop for to hold and improve mission of the IOLC in the Philippines.
